During the pandemic, with our whole company working from home, Discovery decided to launch a streaming service. It gave us all a much needed point of focus in challenging times and energized the whole company. Many talented people were involved in developing the brand but I stuck my foot in the soup as well.
Below are a few things I worked on:
1) I art directed the 2021 and 2022 Black Friday campaign motion. I AD’d the spot and animated some scenes. This campaign beat new subscriber goal by 33% in 2021 and similar in 2022.
2) I helped write concepts and develop graphics for the Watchu Watchin’ campaign. Spots directed by Jess Coulter.
3) I designed the discovery+ originals logo and environment which went on to become the hero look for the brand.
4) I designed and animated a viewer reviews spot which generated some of the best conversion rates we’d seen.
It is hard to properly credit all the many talented people who have touched this brand and equally as difficult to touch on every place I’ve contributed.
